Character Survey of Doom

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? I'm going to say she's around 4 feet tall. Mobians tend to run rather short, but they do come in different sizes. She's also petite though her size is deceptive...so are her hands and feet. When she's wearing boots and gloves they are deceptively big, but she she's wearing her gown her feet and hands are more proportionate with the rest of her body so go figure.

2. How old is she? 17~

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? She carries herself upright.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Good health, she's a teenager so she's in one of the healthiest stages of her life and she's a Guardian. She's made of tough stuff.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Purposeful. She moves with purpose is the best way to describe it, though she can be graceful on the dance floor.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? By Mobian standards she's apparently beautiful, she has a line of boys wanting to dance with her at her Unveiling and Manik has a crush on her. She doesn't seem to think about it too much.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Er...Red complexion? She's probably fair for her race. Echidna's come in various shades of pink, purple, red, and brown. She's a normal shade of red.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. Depending on the artist her hair can be red or a shade of pink/coral.

9. What color are her eyes? Violet

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Aside from being an anthropomorphic Echidna?

11. What are her chief tension centers? Neck, shoulders, arms.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? Utilitarian, dark colors, and she can usually be seen wearing a combination of vest, t-shirt, gloves, boots, and sunglasses at any given time.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them? Like a glove and she wouldn't wear anything that wasn't comfortable or stylish. She doesn't like wearing dresses.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences? Yes. The only time she seems to change her dress is for formal occasions or when she's sleeping she will wear pajamas.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? She's an Echidna.



Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Who knows. She doesn't have a speaking voice so it's all in my head. I tend to think she sounds like a more upbeat Mai from Avatar...you know...if Mai had a wider range of emotions.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? Depends on her mood. She'll yell when she's angry, her voice will get softer when she's scared, nervous, or sad. Otherwise she'll speak evenly and without hesitation, she normally knows what she wants to say before she says it so she's pretty good at expressing herself.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? None.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? Mobian? English. She could probably read some Echidna Tomes.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? NA

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words? She's got the gift of gab, she doesn't hesitate and she doesn't really have to think about her words in order to elegantly express herself. Sometimes she can speak impulsively especially when she's upset.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Eloquent, except for when she's angry or feeling emotional.



Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? Book smart. She's being trained for street smarts, but her parents were overprotective so...

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? It depends on the situation, if she has the time she will plan, if she's in the thick of a situation then she wll think on her feet.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? She's a well rounded mixture of all four of these things though she may lean more toward the intuitive and practical side. Since she's a Guardian in training some situations require her to improvise or go with what she's feeling, but she tends to be practical about it, reasoning instead of making thoughtless choices. She has others to think of as well.

4. What kind of education has the character had? Formal Echidna education, she attended school.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about? She seems knowledgeable where Echidna and Mobian history is concerned, so she probably excels academically and absorbing new concepts tend to come easily. Also when it comes to being a Guardian she's pretty good at it.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? Extrovert. She's not exactly miss party, but she's not a wallflower either as evidenced by her ability to show off all her dancing skills with Argyle at her Unveiling.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? Even-tempered usually, unless something ticks her off. She's a 17 year old girl as well so she's prone to those mood swings and things like emotions now and then. She's also highly driven, a determined individual who never gives up on tasks or ideas which can make her almost annoyingly persistent. She's generally cheerful, but not in a sickeningly sweet kind of way.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Chill, unless you give her any reason at all to be otherwise.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? It depends on the situation.

10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Usually fight, but sometimes you have to pick your battles.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? She has a very good sense of humor, she can joke and take a joke. It's mostly sarcastic/playful humor.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them? No. She's Stable Mable.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person? I suppose the Altered timeline defines her, testing her ability as a Guardian.

14. What does she fear? Not living up to her own expectations, not being able to protect everything that's important, not living up to her obligations as a Guardian.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations? To be a great Guardian like her father.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her? That she's not always as confident as she seems.



Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents. Typical mother, father, daughter dynamic. Loving, supportive, but combative from time to time since she is a teenager and she wants to exercise her independence and her ability to make choices for herself.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? No siblings.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand? She has a huge extended family that includes the Brotherhod and their families, her mother's step-siblings, her grandmother Lara-Le and her uncle Mace. She has a neutral relationship with her Aunt Lien-Da and she has a combative relationship with her cousin Rutan. She was named in part for her grandmother, Knuckles's mother, Lara-Le so odds are they have a good relationship and her relationship with her uncle seems to be good, (he came to her Unveiling). It is unknown if she knows the rest or how close their relationship might be.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? Sonic, Sally, Sonia, and Manik. The Guardians tend to be on good terms with the Mobian Royal Family. Sonic, Sally, Knuckles, and Julie-Su have a long history together. Sally is the childhood friend of Knuckles and a very good friend of Julie-Su's and Sonic and Knuckles are friendly rivals. Lara-Su views them as aunt and uncle type figures, while Sonia is her best friend and Manik is like the annoying little brother she never wanted.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Sonia Acorn. Sonic and Sally's daughter. They were probably exposed to each other through their parents at a very young age and they became close friends.

6. Does she have other close friends? Salma, Argyle, and Riki-Le.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people? Yeah, she's personable enough and approachable, she has a nice circle of friends that she gets along with quite well. She's very playful and she tends to joke around with them.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends? Both. You couldn't make her choose. Besides as a Guardian you have to do what it takes to protect everything so she has an all or nothing mentality about this kind of thing.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once? Free agent.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Nope

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest? Her dad...oh come on, all little girls love their daddies when they're little. As for lately? No one really.

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner? No sissies! Any romantic partner would have to be able to deal with her and her headstrong ways. She knows what she wants, she knows how to get it, or she'll figure it out. You follow her lead or you'll get left behind...but that doesn't mean she won't go back for you. She'll even protect you from outside forces and yourself...it's not like you'll have much of a say in that anyway. No...seriously...she can be reasonable.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any? In an alternate timeline it is implied that she has children, but it's possible she'd probably want an egg all her own someday...just not now.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies? Her cousin Rutan is an irritating rival. Her aunt, the Dark Presence, and King Shadow.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale? Straight.

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her? She hasn't gotten beyond the experimental dating stage yet, she probably thinks more about romance than sex and even that is low on her list of things that are important. Echidna's do have this unique thing about them called Soultouch in which they recognize their life partner on a biological level and will pursue them relentlessly.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? Whhhhhuuut? She wouldn't know.



Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type? Birthdays on Mobius are different from Earth so while the year she was born is stated there's not enough information to tell us what her sign would be.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life? Echidna religion focuses on Aurora and Ancient Walkers, there are temples for worshiping purposes and Tomes. While Lara-Su would probably acknowledge these beings and respect them in relation to her people, she doesn't adhere to any sort of religion.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Yes. Protect the innocent and thrash evil-doers...she's a Guardian, that says it all. Their duty is to protect Echidna interests, Angel Island, and the Chaos Emerald from all threats

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? As long as someone's beliefs doesn't mess with the freewill of others then she's very live and let live. She may be curious about beliefs that are different, willing to learn in order to expand her own abilities to reason with others. The more you know the better.

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them? She doesn't really have any, she probably has a dislike for Overlanders and Dingoes given the history between their species. She wouldn't act out irrationally at the sight of them, but she definitely wouldn't trust them.



Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? I'd say rich by Mobian standards, Guardians and their family are basically treated like royalty on Angel Island.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her? Well at first it was the daughter of a Guardian now it's Guardian/Guardian in trainig and that puts her in a relatively prestigious position.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others? She lives in an upscale house in Portal, it's...home.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on? She probably doesn't do a whole lot of shopping in spite of her status. She might purchase training equipment, but little else.

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else? She is a Guardian, or rather she's in training to be and she's pretty good at what she does even though she's still got a lot to learn

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time? She's interested in Echidna and Mobian politics, she's invested in her training, and being a Guardian, she enjoys spending time with her friends, she likes reading and babysitting.

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? She's a healthy eater, but she is also a teenager so she can be picky about what goes into her mouth. She's never wasteful.
